Therapy for Grief & Loss

How will I support you after the death of a loved one.

Experiencing the death of a loved one can be crippling; we all experience it differently. You may feel disabled by your loss and experience a feeling of overwhelm. Your normal coping processes may even shut down.

Sadness, anger, loneliness, guilt, relief, isolation, confusion and numbness, are all part of your grief. You will have many challenges following a loss and coping with the constant changes can seem insurmountable. You may feel  a loss of organisation, tired, have trouble sleeping and concentrating, have changes in your appetite and your own health, and you may also feel stuck or trapped in your grief.

There are no shortcuts when working with your grief. The process takes time and there is no set time frame for how long it will be with you. This is your personal journey, and you need to be able to process your grief & loss in your own way.

I want you to know you don't have to do this alone, I am here to assist you with the emotional support and resources to be able to cope with the process. I can be witness to your grief, your pain, and your confusion. Together we can create ways for you to explore your challenges that lay ahead, and how to cope with the extreme changes in your life.

Support after receiving a life changing medical diagnosis.

I have a personal experience of both myself, and a loved one being diagnosed with a life changing medical diagnosis.

I have felt and moved through every emotion possible in both situations.

I can support and guide you through the process of planning and the roller coaster of emotions that come with a life changing diagnosis; either for yourself or a significant other.

We will look at ways to move through your feelings, how to navigate your way forward. My intention is to assist you to feel less scared and more in control of your direction and the situation you find yourself in.
